Bottom Line: The SS-791G Stack Chair from Comfortek Seating is a quality stacker with an innovative ganging/interconnecting device.
Pros: Solid steel frame, contoured design for strength, handhold for simple handling, molded seat and back, chrome frame finish, simple welded steel and easy to use ganging device, and a great warranty.
Cons: All chairs are stocked with a chrome frame finish. If you desire a different frame finish such as black, while available, the production lead time is significant.
The Comfortek 791G is not your ordinary high density multi-purpose stacking chair. Very few stacking chairs, if any, come standard with interconnecting mechanisms that are easy to use when needed, but totally obtrusiveness when not needed. With more and more Fire Marshalls requiring ganging/interconnection of chairs in smaller room capacity sizes, it makes sense to have chairs that can be ganged together if needed!
The 791G is a solidly built chair with a solid steel rod frame that is so much stronger than a hollow tubular frame that many chairs feature today to save on production costs. It stacks 30 high on each quality dolly. And with its contoured poly seat and back it is really surprisingly comfortable. It is lightweight and easy to stack and store in a relatively small amount of time.
