3 ways a CMS website provider can save your church money

Save Your Church Money Blog

What is a CMS and how can it save your church money?  The abbreviation “CMS” stands for Content Management System (website content that is).  A couple of years ago our team at Church Plant Media created a custom-built CMS that we specifically designed for churches.  But we don’t simply offer a CMS product; we provide a website design service as well.  Over the years, we have helped churches save money in 3 different ways; specifically through our tools, service, and ministry.

To unpack this for you, we wanted to share a few comments from some of the churches that we serve.  We like what Proverbs 27:2 says, “Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger, and not your own lips.” So don’t just take our word for it, continue reading to hear what other churches have to say.

Tools

With the proper tool, the task can become easy.  But without the proper tool, a task can become very hard.  Many pastors hire someone to update their website because they do not have the proper tools or knowledge for the task.  But with our CMS, anyone can easily update the content, with no need to pay someone else to do it. Matt Morgan of Escalate Church, shared the following about our CMS…

You guys are awesome! I never would have imagined that a CMS could be so user-friendly and that I could have so much control and still produce a web-site that looks so clean and professional. You all have provided our church with an incredibly valuable resource and tool – one that will certainly show others that we take doing the work of ministry seriously and strive to do it with excellence. But we couldn’t have done it on our own. Thanks for making such a great tool available to those involved in the work of ministry!

Service

Finding reliable help is never easy.  Just because your nephew says he can build you a website doesn’t mean he’ll be there in a few weeks or months when you need updates. So even if he is giving you a website for free, you’ll end up losing time and money by trying to track him down when you need him the most.  Here is what Scott Towner of Gateway Fellowship, had to say about our team…

I knew that God led our church to contact Church Plant Media to build our website, but I had no idea how blessed we would be through the entire process. I confess that I initially cringed at the cost of this project, but now that our site is up and running I’m inclined to think that CPM broke even or took a loss. I’ve never worked with a business where I received so much personal attention from a multitude of staff members who were not only professional & hardworking but open about their faith and love of Christ! I don’t feel that I “hired” CPM at all, but more like they are a servant-team who answered every question and addressed every need I brought to them. If you’re waffling about whether to sign on with CPM let this testimony encourage you to go ahead and make the call!

Ministry

Building a church website needs to be all about the gospel.  You build it because you want to spread the good news. But it’s always hard to know who to trust.  Are they just great designers, or do they love the gospel as much as you do?  To put fears to rest, we published a Gospel Agreement that we require all of our partners to sign. Brad Evangelista of CrossPointe Church, had this to say…

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to each of you for all your work in the revamping of our website. We are thoroughly pleased with it and are getting lots and lots of positive feedback and are finding it to be a great enhancement to our ministry. But beyond that, you guys are all just a real pleasure to deal with. You are the unusual mix of being professional but you also feel like friends. Every interaction is helpful and positive. I never feel like the ignorant guy talking to the technical expert when I interact with you all. I feel like I’m talking to a partner in ministry whose expertise just happens to be websites but whose passion is the Kingdom. I’ve never met any of you in person, but yet I feel like you are really on our team. All that to say, you guys are doing a great job blessing churches and helping them advance the Gospel.

So if you need a new website and you want a partner in ministry, then give us a call.  We are here to help.  Feel free to call our Partnership Coordinator, Kevin Fitzgibbon, at (800) 409-6631 ext. 1, and tell him that you want to start saving money!
